Careers

A career where people are glad to see you.

Westbrook Park is one building with one team in it. You are not a number on a rota here: you look after the same residents every shift, you learn what they like, and you see the difference you make the same day you make it.

We hire for care and train for the rest. If you have never worked in senior living before, say so when you get in touch.

Who we are, at a glance.

Westbrook Park is part of a group, which is what makes it possible to move between communities, between roles, or into management without leaving.

In their words

“The residents know me and I know them. That is the part you do not get anywhere else.”

What it is like

A small team, and a short distance to the top.

One building means decisions get made by people you can find. If something on your shift is not working, the person who can change it is down the hall, not in a regional office.

  • You keep the same residents

Assignments stay put wherever the roster allows. It is better care, and it is a better shift.

  • You get told what is happening

Handover at every shift change, and a standing meeting where anyone can raise something.

  • You can train up on the job

Certifications, in-service hours and a route from care associate to lead to management.

  • You are covered when it is hard

A death in the community is hard on staff too. Nobody is expected to carry that alone.

Teams

Every job here is a care job, whatever it says on the rota.

The cook knows who takes their tea without sugar and the maintenance man knows whose television keeps losing the channel. These are the teams the community runs on.

Applying

What happens after you get in touch.

  1. 01

    You send us a note

Tell us what you have done and what hours you are after. A CV helps but is not required to start the conversation.

The front of the community, a Tudor-framed building behind a lawn and mature palms
  2. 02

    We call you back

Usually within a few days. It is a short call to work out whether there is a fit worth meeting about.

  3. 03

    You come and see it

Interviews happen at the community, and they run thirty minutes to an hour. Come with questions.

The foyer, with a piano, seating and tall windows
  4. 04

    Checks, then a start date

Senior living is a licensed setting, so there are background and health checks. We will tell you exactly what is needed and how long it takes.

Questions

Questions people ask before applying.

If yours isn’t here, call us on (714) 775-6775. We’d rather answer it than have you guess.

  • Do I need experience in senior living?

Not for every role. Care associate and dining roles are frequently filled by people new to the sector, and training is provided. Nursing and med tech roles need the certification the state requires.

  • What shifts are available?

The community is staffed around the clock, so there are day, evening and night shifts, and both full and part time. Tell us what you need when you get in touch and we will tell you honestly whether it exists right now.

  • How long does the interview take?

Between thirty minutes and an hour, at the community. You will meet the person you would be working for, not a recruiter in another state.

  • Are any roles remote?

No. Every role here is on site, because the work is. Oxford Health Group's central office hires separately from the communities.

  • What checks are involved?

A background check and a health screening, both required for a licensed residential care facility in California. We will walk you through what to bring.

  • Can I move between roles later?

Yes, and people do. Care associates move into lead and management roles, and there are around twenty communities in the group if you ever need to move somewhere else.
